Meh, I'll still get it. I enjoy playing the COD MP. Even BLOPS which everyone here hates gives me enjoyment. Obviously if you're one of those "competative" gamers it sucks donkey doodle, but that's not me. I want to start the game, choose/join a server, shoot people and blows shit up.

Sure the bugs and other problems let you down, but these days that's par for the course with multi plat games. BLOPS probably being one of the worst, but they got sorted out after a couple of weeks. Hell I absolutely HATE the Crysis2 MP...... why? Cause, to this day, I haven't been able to play a single round of it. Hell, I haven't been able to log in since it came out.

And while I'm hopeful that BF3 will be awesome I don't expect it to be 100% at release day. I just hope Dice can release the game with proper hit detection on release day......... or maybe I could just win the Lotto..... either way is fine.

    You are right

I do hope MW3 has mediocre sales numbers
But i do hope those numbers jump on bf3 so the overall industry doesnt look like its sinking

cos thats just bad for everyone when the investors come around

How did the story go about the goose that lays the golden eggs ?
These guys killed COD , the 1st few were epic , now its just a mess..
Not unlike how EA killed C&C..
they try to squeeze the blood out of it and then they complain when its dieing.

Like ive said in previous posts , these large companies should all die of cholesterol.
Thats right , their production times are twice as fast and the quality is down 3 quarters ,
but they will charge you top dollar for it..

I remember the times where there were loads of new games every month , cheap games , made by small teams who where dedicated and wanted to be successful ,
they invented genres and people could afford to buy quality games , fun games , games that would keep you busy for hours and you didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it neither.

Those days I was still in school and I could buy games with my allowance,
now I work for a salary and I find it hard to justify to myself why I'm forking out money for a game I barely play for 5 hours.

Taste differ , im sure some people will love this game ..
Im saving my money for Diablo3 and Duke Nukem Forever (Ive been waiting for DNF game since my school days.. , game has had the longest production time in history and If it fails miserably , I will at least have a copy of the game ive been drooling over since grade 8)

I will get it if its got direct IP connect, seeing as lobby connect requires international. I use up my 1 gig, then play on local, seeing as I have lots of it. The mistake I made with Crysis 2 was getting it on release day without reading up about the game at all. So I play cod4, wont bother with any of the current other cod's, will see about mw3. Also see about bf3

    Your wrong.

X-men Origins was awesome and everyone who says they don't care about MW3 is gonna buy it anyways due to subliminal controversial advertisement and social mainstream pressure.

    It's not just Activision
Watch southpark s015e05, they nailed EA's behavior on the head

As more of a "serious" gaming community, I'm not entirely sure that "we" do care. CoD has just somehow become the poster child of everything people don't like about stuff that is mass produced for mass consumption. It's be no means a bad game, undeniably improving with every iteration and becoming the game to copy/beat.

We all just need to know whats going on so we have something to do at a braai when we don't have a drink up to our face iPhone vs any other smartphone anyone?
