How long does the first game take to complete?
I spent 80+ hours on my first play through, doing all the side quests and stuff.

80+ Hours? I know this is off-topic, but how did you take that long? My play-through on Nightmare, doing all the side-quests and not skipping anything, took around 35 hours. DA2 took me around 40 hours to do main story + most side quests (never got round to looking for hidden quests because the game sucked ass)

Well, acceptance of past mistakes in Dragon Age 2 is the first step. I generally love Bioware games ever since KOTOR and the Mass Effect series is my favorite. Here's hoping DA3 is as awesome as it should be and not wants to be.

As an RPG fan I expected more from both games.

Hahaha, it sucked so badly that they have to do something about it for 3 or I'll never be buying it. 2 was a major let down

well they are working on dragon age 3 now officially. what im rly curious about the game is are they gonna completely change the style of gameplay like the 2nd one. i quiet hope so like a more fast paced and better control system, but the game itself is pretty good, i just hope for a smoother action type action rpg.

DA2 is fairly long an unmemorable. Its littered with what I can only describe as rubbish, void of story and purpose, filler side quests. So if you are like me with your RPGs and try get the most out of your first play through, it can actually be a fairly long game. Its a game that drags on. Anyone would agree a shorter more captivating experience is preferred. For me, the most memorable thing about DA2 is the overwhelming disappointment I had while playing through it.

We'll see how DA3 goes. My expectations are low, so hopefully they will pleasantly surprise us.

Comments like these are what fucked DA2 up. There are enough Action RPGs.

Improve is the least of their worries. They're going to have to do something magical to justify me spending money on them again. Mofos will have to wine and dine the shit out of me before I give them my support again.

Yeah, but the problem with DA2 is that its just average .. Well below average to be exact. Bioware should rework the dev team. Sorry to say but the current leads fucked that game up so badly. It left such a bad taste in me that I won't be touching Bioware products for awhile.
