I think BLOPS will be my last CoD title. This has seriously put me off. Thank you CoD, we've had some good years. But this is too much.

I can't say I am not surprised. But then again, how are they going to keep up with BF3 as their competition if their products are increasingly less desirable. They would be making quite a mistake surely?

I really couldn't care. This is such a blatent statement from Activision saying,

    Dear COD Fanbois

We are going to prove just how fucking stupid and gullible you all are. We are got to charge you $65.00 for the new COD in November. Then, once you've bought it, we will proceed to rape and pillage your wallets and bank accounts by charging you for every extra little nuance that you could possibly want or need for multiplayer. Come next November when we releases Black Ops 2, we will repeat this process all over again and all you stupid little idiots will fall for it all over again. And don't bother with the boycott bans, as we both know those are empty threats.

    Loving your money,
    Bobby

So let's have a quick summarization:

    Battlefield 3:

    • Releases next to COD MW3
    • Once off payment
    • Free DLC comes with pre-order at same price
    • Pushing the boundaries of PC capabilities
    • Mature, stimulating gameplay
    • Developers are open and honest, giving a shit about it's community

    COD Modern Failfare 3

    • Same engine, different year
    • Probably worse looking than the previous game
    • Subscription fee
    • Probable DLC cost on top of subscription fee
    • Probable console port
    • Developers care more about money than their game, no love put into it
    • Excellent game for 10 year olds

    Main differences:

One of these games cost less and has been carefully crafted towards their ultimate goal. The other is a rushed, piece of sh*t that just wants to make money.

I wonder which one is more worth it to buy..I'll go have a ponder.

Still, eventhough I'm not choosing sides here, don't forget the MOH fiasco, which they said would blow black-ops out of the water.

Activision is not the only dev that can't deliver!!!!!!!!!!

So true, so true. I really was looking forward to MOH, but held out on the pre-purchase and gave it a few days to read reviews and the likes.

Then I happily returned to Black Ops.

    Battlefield3

    my FINAL answer

    thats the million dollar question

seriously thom i ahve real concerns on where activision is leading the COD series, at what to0ken says, level of maturity is very poor in COD, first thing i noticed was the use of the words "BS" or "WTF" in BFBC2 were scarce, yes they were there but FAR LESS prominent!

you know my first love for gaming was COD and it gave me a wonderful online expereince with an nice community.

BUT as the years went on the community changed, we can blame whoever but it a combination of the community and the COD dev's that have put COD where it is now, its making COD seem like the MC'D franchise, good simple, yet not amazing food. If you want a real meal then pop into an exclusive or far less franchised resteruant, where the owner makes sure service and food is up to standard and not riding on the name of the place BUT rather holding the REPUTATION of the place. This is where COD and BF differ, one is riding on its name whilst the other is LIVING up to its previous reputation and holding up that standard....

Except it was made by a new unknown developer. This is Dice we're talking about, they made the fantastic Bad Company 2. I have faith they can pull off their goals and judging by the footage I've seen so far it's going to awesome.
