Would be cool, I already have two XboX360 controllers. If the main profit comes from the games and not the physical console then why not.

I think the biggest problem would be piracy(would open massive door for it). Other wise good idea to keep old platform alive till next gen can be sold for a profit.
Some mixed views about this, I see. I don't think it will be a bad thing, seeing that there are some really good games out on the Xbox at the moment, which will have an extended life on the PC. There are a lot of them that were not available to PC gamers in the first place.
I like the idea, regardless of the hardware constraints. I am sure people who will be running Windows 8 will have enough firepower to do so, since that in itself will have some hefty requirements.
That's what she said.
The Dork Knight.
its about time because gears 2 on pc were is it.
PS3 Vs Xbox 360 or should i say Gears of war 2 vs Uncharted 2
You know this will seriously give the PC that extra needed edge... what does the pc so far have that consoles don't? (Looking at it from a liberal point of view)
It's got the better graphics thanks to DirectX 11... but this depends on the game. Some games looks fine on DirectX9 style graphics.
It might get this new feature... which will be a big thing if it happens!
We can do a lot more with our computers due to the broad specturm of uses for it. Such as printing and using other software and also customizing without breaking the guarantee/warranty.
Please keep all extremities tucked in...
If you do torrent some stuff (like I do, mostly series that haven't arrived in SA yet) you would notice that Xbox games hit the torrent sites EVEN FASTER than PC games, and I'm talking about multiplatform same day releases. Over the PC taking all the flack over pirating. I doubt this would make any difference.
From a financial point of view it makes sense, I don't think MS makes a lot of profit on the 360 hardware, most of it comes from the licensing to actually create games for Xbox, and the sales of the games themselves. So this will basically just expand their current market.
And with the XNA/Xbox devolpment framework it's very easy to target Windows and Xbox development at the same time, they could have some kind of middleware similar to DirectX running on Windows 8 to enable 360 games to work natively.
Will be interesting to see if they go for this.
Signature goes where?
not gonna happen, in order to play 360 on pc, u need an emulator, putting a built in emulator in windows 8 would not only hurt 360 sales, but it isnt legal as well if it were another company, it doesnt make any sense for them, putting an xbo360 emulator would only result in loss of profit for them. now WHY would they do that?! so yea, not gonna happen in a million years.
Oh please please do this so I can save buying another 360 since mine is really on it's way out![]()
