well i read the manga for both of them ... tbh bleach was really gripping stuff until the battle with aizen, seems they didnt balance the power right where one character is overly more powerful than his rival and the rival doesnt stand a chance ... they ended the saga crap and the new saga is boring

naruto on the other hand (without counting the fillers) is brilliant ... the outcome of the battles are never just simple were one character just dominates ... the forth ninja war mentioned in the anime has been back and forth all the time that a person doesnt know what the outcome will be ...

its like my one friend said ... i hope the author of naruto wrote down all his thoughts and ideas for the series somewhere so someone can carry on with his work if something happens to him

    Kai is the 2nd season.
They are also going to release 5 OVA's for it this year called File 1-5.
Not sure how they will fit into the main story or if they will be stand alone stories.
Very little info available about it.

Watch Claymore first and then D-grayman.
Claymore had a lot of hits and misses throughout the story. Some great charachters but the story was a bit thin...
D-Grayman...watch it! You will get to a point where you will want to maim yourself to break the boredom, but stick it out...just get to episode 50 and the maiming would be worth it!

Naruto is a perfect introduction of all the facets of anime and it is one of the anime that I suggest for n00bs.
I consider it a classic and should be part of any collection and a series that you must watch... but only until the conclusion of the Main Arch - episode 140 of Naruto.
After that...do yourself a favour and move on to other anime.

There are far better anime available to cater to any need or want.

I loved claymore, wouldnt mind a continuation/sequel series.
Anyone noticed that allot of the anime production seemed to have stopped around the economic meltdown, I know this affected usa... maybe I'm just imagining things. Also, will the current crisis in Japan affect things?

Naruto: Watched up to 89, dont have access to the rest, and as you said kage, in that case i only need a few more to get to 140.
Bleach: Watched up to end of fight between Ichi and aizen, aizen gets sentenced by court.
Anyone watched Gantz? I don't know what to make of it.
Claymore did end a bit dissapointingly
I can go through about 15 more, but this is for opinions on naruto vs bleach, and in my case, I like where I am for both of them.

The biggest problem with ongoing series like Naruto Shipuuden and BLeach is that it is nearly impossible to start at episode 1 due to bad quality but also the enormous number of episodes that you have to go through to get up to date.
This unfortunately caused me to drop Bleach at episode 20 when I realised that even though I like the concept, characters and story, it is too little too late.

they kinda botched up claymores ending with a filler so id think they'd need to reboot it..

Oh so true! just bite down and wait.

Gintama for me is sometimes like that. It's full of parody and classic Japanese humor but alas sometimes it feels like an episode is dragging itself along.
