Though I am happy they are branching out to console(s) also my biggest fear is, what i like to call, sequel-tie-in syndrome. Since Witcher 2 is a sequel to Witcher 1 there should, in theory, be info taken for granted in 2 that was given in 1. So for console owners who didn't play the original there are going to be... blank spaces. Some inside jokes, i dont know. Think Mass Effect 2 on PS3 but no Mass Effect 1. If memory serves BioWare created a comic or something to help the transition but even so, having played both Mass Effects, i can think of several points in ME2 that wouldn't not have been the same without having played the original. This could hurt the games reception, not saying it will, but it could.

Hopefully the devs can figure someway around this coz us guyz who play RPGs would notice such things and it would reduce enjoyment of the titles. Something Im sure nobody wants.

I really have to start cutting back on buying so many games and start saving up if I want to be able to afford an X360 and any CE for this game (if there is one) at the end of the year. November already has 3 titles that I absolutely HAVE to get the CE's for: Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Skyrim and Uncharted 3. If there is going to be a PS3 version I just hope they announce it before the X360 version comes out so I don't buy a console and then find out there is a PS3 as well two weeks or something later - that would really suck.

Even if they don't, there is still other things you could use the xbox for.

Yeah I know man. I used to have one before I got my PS3, but I sold it since I got bored with it (the exclusives don't really appeal to me). Will see what happens, but I'll probably get one again.

Might get an X360 sooner than I expected. I found a guy who wants to sell his for R1800; it's a 250GB Slim with two controllers and a wireless headset. Normally I wouldn't buy a second-hand console (especially not an X360), but this one still has 6 months left on the warranty so I'm seriously considering it. If I can scrape the cash together soon enough I'll most probably get it. The only thing that bothers me is if I buy it now it will just stand there gathering dust untill Witcher 2 releases; I've considered getting a mulitplayer game to check it out but I don't like the idea of paying to play online.
