Issues of legality aside, one also runs the risk of exposing one's machine to all manner of
malicious software by installing pirated software, installing cracks and keygens, etc.

I'm usually very patient when a game that i want just comes out... and then order it off take 2 a couple weeks later coz the price usually drops by then depending on their sales

Buy! Don't pirate, it's not cool. NOT !

If you can't afford it, then don't buy it.
On a very basic level - You can compare this scenario to buying an expensive car (or any car for that matter), if you are not prepared for the parts / labor / service costs and cannot actually afford it, why did you buy the car? Very bad decision. (Yes, yes, you can get the warranty / maintenance plan with virtually all cars these days, included in the purchase price. The logic still applies.) You must still be able to afford or pay for those items that are not covered and eventually the service plan will expire (unless you trade in for another car before the time = more money again).

I agree with another poster, if everyone bought the titles they like instead of pirating so much, the games will be cheaper. Plus, whoru to judge pricing and decide for them (artists, publishers, designers, game makers, etc.) what their efforts / expenses were worth to actually make their product. A lot of these people are professionals and take great pride in the product they are making, and the big titles reflect that effort... just check the huge fanatical following for confirmation.

The legitimate buyers keep the industry going, several companies are even reporting record losses, and as we know the economy is not the greatest at the moment.... yet all the while...
the pirates will still pirate, with the same argument of "make it cheaper and we will buy", yet they are not exactly helping the issue at all either.

    The circle is complete.
What the mind can conceive, it can achieve.
