    Can you buy the $9.99 licence and activate it at any point or must a subscription be activated immediately?

    I really don't know. Wish there was more info on the trail upgrade versions.

    Lol, seems more like a ploy to get people in ? you need client + sub to be able to play, so I guess the best deal is client and 6 month sub ?

    Entering billing information prior to the end of your trial period will terminate the trial service and you will lose the any unused trial time.
    Okay so you can't do it like that either. WoW use to allow you to activate a trial and apply game time later.
