I'm sorry we are no longer hosting the site locally A whole bunch of factors came into play, including cost, server performance, support from the hosting company, etc etc. Overall we felt that hosting overseas was the best compromise - unfortunately there was no perfect option!

As for Prophecy I honestly never found their prices so great.
We've made the decision a few years ago not to aim to provide the cheapest price on every product, but to provide good overall value. We feel (and we are told often by customers) that our combination of decent pricing, affordable and quick (and insured!) shipping and pre and after sales service and support is a compelling offering. What we definitely need to do is a better job of marketing this and informing people of the extra service we do - I think right now we don't do a good enough job! (For example, do you know that if a supplier can't swap you out after 2 weeks, we step into the breach and do either a swap out or a credit?)

Another decision we have taken is to list a more expensive price for a product when that is the only supplier who has stock - rather than always listing the cheapest supplier, even when they are out of stock.
