While this may be true and Diablo nerds wont be beaten up by the school bully it is now far more likely that the jockish COD players beat up the RPG players or the Elitist PC "Hardcore" gamer beating up the Console "Casual" Gamer.

The lyrics from the Machinae Supremacy song 'Rise' comes to mind:
And somewhere along the line it seems
that "pimp" became cool and punk mainstream

It's the other way around. Jock types play casual consoles not PC anything

Not talking about actual jocks but rather those elitist PC types that thinks the universe owes them something.

I like this guy. Man-bear-pig does make sense.
    That's what she said.

Ya, I don't know if you can call people who play Farmville on Facebook gamers really, but ya, more and more people are getting into games, and it's not just kids either, plenty of adults are gaming too. It is becoming more and more mainstream.

But why not I say? Given the choice of watching a movie or playing a game, I'll take a game anytime. They are so good now, it's like watching a movie but you get to control the main character. Much more immersive.
