    Default better for gaming: 1333 or 1600 ram?

    gaming only, no ocing folks

    just need to know if one is better than the other

    Play games, not platforms

    Probably 1600

    Won't see much difference though (if any)

    Friend and my brother have the Same setup. Same CPU, GPU, HDD etc.
    He's just got Ram clocked at 1600 and bro has 1333.

    Difference - Not even noticeable.

    well obv 1600 is better, but u prob wont notice.

    The better one would be the cheaper one, so can spend more money on other stuff.

    No, what he said. The difference in performance, if any is so negligible that I would rather get the cheaper RAM and use that extra bit for a bigger CPU or Gfx card to be honest. Would make more sense.

    well i'll be keeping my current 460's in sli

    mobo's i'm looking at are based on the new 990fx chipset from amd which means either the new ud5 from gigabyte or the asus crosshair 5 formula.

    both support 1600 natively, cpu wise i'm gonna get the 975 BE quad for the interim til the bulldozer chips launch

    Not sure if this is a good way to compare them, but in my mind it seems to be apples with apples.



    Versus
