So many times have I completely messed up my installation by compiling a driver using online guides.
Maybe its my own fault for reading how-to guides for hours on end as Im a linux noob ,
still would be nice if driver installations was a double click process.
(I know Yum and some others try to do that but ive seen my share of failed installations to know that there is alot of room for improvement)
Of all the distributions that pack in all those finnicky closed source drivers, Ubuntu does the best job. I installed the new driver via synaptic and it's a breeze.

The thing is, if something goes wrong and you're a novice on Linux, try to find some help on forums and do try to understand what went wrong. Code compilation is never for the faint of heart.
