At the same time, it's only made out to be a big deal. I've never heard it FROM the people that they're "offended" by something being racist. Chris Rock's got an awesome comedy routine making fun of it as well.
the so called offended are usually one person that steps down this offended idea onto the mindless, whom just also become offended- mostly not kowning why they are offended or stradling along for some cause.
