I would do the same for two reasons.

1. Buying batteries sucks.
2. The wireless Xbox controller is heavier and less comfortable than the wired one.

One usually doesn't sit far enough from a PC screen to warrant a wireless controller anyway. Glad you found one btw R4C3.

Yeah they can become a mess. Luckily my PS3 controllers are wireless else it would be a problem since it sits next to my PC.
