He was always there, look at the left of the screen at 0.00 and you will see him.
I would love to see this clip from multiple angles but from this angel is does look like he just appears out of nowhere, though there was no portal popping sounds so maybe he has one of those molecular accelerators and just jumped in & out of hyper time.
