    Or disable the comments until the new comments system is implemented. Right now, they're not contributing anything (except for headaches for the admins, I'll assume) of worth to the site. It looks like 4chan in there.

    The comments section allows people who may not be inclined to join the forum to interact with the site .The reality is that it promotes page views, clicks, and general activity, which is good for advertisers to see as they do not necessarily browse the forums.

    I'm telling you all this in the interest of transparency. I understand you might not all like the comments section, but please take my word for it when I say that it is a vital part of the site's commercial viability at this stage.

    That said, the front page has been redesigned and is busy being rebuilt. A new comment section will come into effect when the new site goes live, and it will require users to login, or post as "guest" in which case their comments will be moderated. This will solve the problems we have been experiencing.

    Good news in general.
    At least we know the problem isnt just being ignored.
