The first films rocked! They were just so much fun to watch!

And as much as I might not think the latest ones were brilliant... I still want the full boxset on bluray when it comes out I can't explain why ^^

I thought Voldemort's Death was a bit anticlimactic. This is only a minor detail however and I thought the movie did live up to the hype!

I have to admit, it wasn't the best movie in the series, but after all, it was Harry Potter. None of the movies except the first two were actually good movies, they were merely Harry Potter movies.

One thing that really irked me, though, was that Voldemort turned to ash when he died. I mean lolwtf. This isn't 30 Days of Night with vampires turning into ash. Even after all he'd gone through, he was still a human. His death left a corpse behind in the book, it really should have done the same in the movie.

I'll admit, I've never read the books. I only watched the movies and yes, there are some things I didn't understand until I looked it up on wikipedia - but I enjoyed the movies overall. HPatDH Part 2 reminds me a bit of LotR:ROKK. It just jumps into the midst of things and continues from where the previous one left off. It did make me feel kinda sad tho at the end. Been watching these movies for almost half my life!

You're the noob that went to see it in 3D

saw it today and made a point to go 2D. imho it was win for what it was and I actually enjoyed it. No movie if you are realistic about it will be a 1:1 representation. I did read last 3 books and saw no harm in the adaptation and I thought that the "end flick" was done a lot better some some of the potter movies in the flick-series.

Would you sit through a 9 hour flick to have a more realistic adaptation ?

    :edit
Go see priest and then you will know what a shitty adaptation that was in relation to the actual manhwa. The flick had 100% nothing to do with what priest actually was and is. Now that was a terrible movie all in all.

After 10 years of waiting for the finale, it felt very anti-climatic. Yes, I'd read the books before watching the movies, but even so, I felt cheated. It also felt very rushed. Almost as if some very important scenes were cut short to fit into the allotted time. Now I know the movie was already split into two parts and three parts would have been silly, but I feel not enough time was given to scenes that needed it.

And then the scenes that could have been shown dramatically and visually, like for instance the break-out of Gringotts Bank were such a let down. There was no flair or pizazz. No wow factor. Do not get me started on the 3D aspect of the movie. What a waste of time and money. There were maybe 5 times that you really noticed the 3D effects. The rest of the time I was just annoyed by the damn glasses or the fact that some scenes seemed to almost be out of focus. I really think 3D is overrated and if I had the choice, I would rather watch the movie in 2D, but sadly my regular cinema complex doesn't offer both option as they have limited cinemas.

On a side note, I still love Ster-Kinekor's love nest seats, just a pity I had to sit next to a dude smelling like a brewery!

Did not even know there was another movie out for Harry Potter. I stopped after the second movie cause I was bored of watching it.

Is this one any better than the first 2 movies in graphics and storyline?

    What a crap movie. Seriously..

My mate and I watched all the movies on the big screen. Deathly Hallows Part 1 was a load of crap. This one was MEH. Ending was so... anti climatic.

Precisely. I'm not saying it was bad or a bad book to movie conversion, it just felt very disjointed and EXTREMELY dull end after all that hype.

    I sense too much expectation.
