I think its awfully considerate of the CEO to apologise for the cut, especially since the unit is so young... I am still not getting one i am not so into the whole 3D thing nor Nintendo (even though they got me into gaming in the first place, before Sony).
I hold a general rule dont jump for a new product to quickly as there is always a price cut around... especially with technology.
