We're mostly horrible human beings, aren't we? If there's a disaster somewhere, or something goes wrong, someone somewhere is going to make a joke about it ... and the rest of us are going to laugh. Some may do so softly.

Well that's one way of looking at it, the other of course is that comedy provides humans with an way of dealing with and processing things which fall outside of our daily routine/understanding.
As for the photos rather creative and funny.
