Got my OCZ Revodrive X2 yesterday. Struggled a bit to get my other drives working with it but got it working 100% now. Damn this thing is fast. Also hoping prices will drop then I'll get a bigger one.

Most definitely. On another note what's the price? If it's more than R2,500 it's not worth it now that the Revodrive X2 is out. SSDs are not worth it in any case but that's another matter...

Is the random rebooting still an issue with SSD's? When I bought my new rig last weekend I still opted for a normal SATA (budget mostly) but one of the guys there said he loves his SSD except when it randomly reboots. often.

I have never had a problem with that and my SSD's are now a little old. no worries though. Gonna get nice ones soon again. Just wondering if i must raid again.

Yip. Mine does it randomly. Not when I've been using it mind, but whenever it's been idle.Extremely annoying.

And I say again, even your games don't load that much faster. I still think you'd be better off for now saving that cash and buying a bigger CPU or GPU, but that's just been my experience. If you must buy one, get a small 60GB or so for your OS and Office, because that's about the only place you will see a change.

This is true. I only use my SSDs for OS and Office. the best results are there. Games do load faster but not by much if you have raided HDDs. Response from your PC is awesome with SSDs. If you click something it is there. No real waiting time.

Well will let you guys know as soon as I've got mine up and running
Kinda excited, my laptop has a SSD but I have never had a ssd in any of my rigs.

And yes I do spend alot on pc hardware and most of it is a waste, but you only live once and I enjoy gaming and I love having my gaming experience set up to the max..Max res..Max fps!!!

I am also in the market now for a SSD and am getting mixed feelings about the new SATA6G drives...

I assume you bought that from Razer on carbonite?

IIRC, he paid R3800 for the revo drive and that was second hand...
