It's still going to be linked to your steam account, so maybe suspending that account for a while for being a doos will sort them out.

I also believe that better admins are needed. Valve has the capacity to control the DOTA 2 community better so this should hopefully lead to noobs plucking up the courage to try or even return to the game.
Yah, I really hope that there will be a way to report people for abuse. I've actually stopped even being friends with people because they became serious dota assholes. But other communities like HoN and LoL don't seem nearly as bad. Probably because it's not as competitive. I really just pray that we can get a nice community in SA going! Maybe form a Mygaming group because most of the peeps here seem pretty nice.
I just played a game of HoN..and it was fucking terrifying.![]()
Dota's community is toxic I'm afraid, valve is just probably trying not to alienate the potential player-base. It's really sad too, HoN and Dota are really good and fun games. Use to have a lot of fun lanning Dota with friends, unfortunately the online experience was just too much for me.
Dota 2 should have an option to disable ingame chat but then you also run the risk of missing a call from the lanes. Perhaps Dota 2 will implement the same feature as League of Legends, where you can report the players after a game for idling, negative attitude or racism.
To get back on topic I do not think Valve's opinion is objective. At this point of time they will do and say anything to win over the DotA community. Why would they go badmouthing the DotA community before the big reveal?

I accidentally put two contacts in one eye, now I can see myself for who I really am.
