    Default Jiu-Jitsu at its best!

2 short videos of two moves that are very similar yet different. Sorry for the low quality it was filmed with a blackberry...

    Flying Triangle Choke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9VIHPu4gUg&NR=1

    Flying Armbar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtM0gfyFlOM

Pretty cool I've been watching a lot of UFC lately, coincidentally I'm wondering what's the potential to get seriously hurt when this is executed?

When I still did kickboxing and MMA back in the 90's, That would be no problem.

If I try that now, I would put myself in hospital for 2 months

Ok well in the flying triangle clip it is me performing it, and in the flying armbar clip it is my brother and me as the victim

I'll be taking regular clips (probably weekly) so if you like it then please like the videos/subscribe to my channel etc..

These moves as you can see are risky, that is why we kinda help each other and not resist too much. I wouldn't recommend either in a street fight, not that I condone street fighting

    That's pretty cool man (thumbs_up.gif)

Reminds me of when i used to do karate. Training was heavy but the sparring was much more controlled and wasn't such 'hands-on' combat as this.

Now i just hit the gym and do lifting... perhaps i'll start MMA sometime in the future.

Well my brother is only 15, but has already had like 8 MMA fights already (i think)...

Me on the other hand, well i just stick to pure jiu-jitsu comps. Did that Abu Dhabi world qualifiers thing 2 years ago, came 3rd in Africa for my weight division, was annoyed coz i really wanted to go to the world finals... As for MMA, I'm not aggressive enough to get in a cage and beat some poor mother's son up (most likely while she watches). I dunno maybe one day i'll change my mind. It's weird coz every time I go and watch live I get frustrated that i'm not on the fight card! The club is always trying to persuade me to fight but every time i just tell them i'm not interested...

Yeah, for MMA u gotta have that killer instinct! I started krav maga last month. Haven't had much useful martial arts experience prior and wanted to give it a shot. When we do the drills where i have to pretend to be the attacker, it just doesnt come naturally to me to try to strangle someone or to try stick them with a knife! I guess why would u try to strangle someone if they were much bigger than u, lol. I'm the smallest male in the class. And then when i have to attack the girl in the class or when she attacks me, it's just weird She is so petite

That's pretty awesome. Have done some Ninjtitsu and Krav Maga before, might look into this one day.
