The compendium has stretch goals, like projects on kickstarter. When more people buy the compendium ( its 10$, 25% goes to the prize pool) , the compendium reaches a certain stretch goal, and you get an extra ( like a courier or an HUD or whatever ). So if more people buy it, the compendium owners get more cool free stuffs.

That's because I started out with support heroes off the bat (I blame Rys), and I didn't always see the direct result of my ulti's

Everyone was like, "dude start with drow". R4C3 was like, "try windrunner"

Ye dude it is much easier to start with support and learn the ropes as your are not that farm dependant. Although to support properly is the hardest job ever.... Oo and Ulti

Farmed like anything got the rapier and told my team, guys have a rapier lets finish. They all typed in the chat box to the opposing team with the tier 2's still up: gg guys. We walked in, Tanked like a boss with Medusa, and killed the entire team .
