I got one the weekend. Only played 1 game. Tbh it feels a bit weird still. More like LOL than Dota 1 atm. Guess its a bit like getting used to a new game. I did feel a bit of delay, something I'm not used to with Dota
Any idea if there will be locally hosted servers? I was really enjoying HoN until S2 decided to get over SA servers and the servers were shut down =/
Has very little in common with LoL. Only really big gameplay change from DOTA to DOTA2 is that DOTA2 has a 40% increased Field of View.More like LOL than Dota 1 atm.
As for the lag, I dunno I've played quite a bit of LoL and now some DOTA2 so I guess I just don't notice it any more. Not sure if they will let 3rd parties host servers, this is Valve though so it is possible. Not too sure how that would work though since 'ranked' games are played through matchmaking.

Lets be honest here. It looks more like LoL (not a fan) than DOTA if you consider the general gfx style. Gameplay is still DOTA (played it since 5.something)
And it just feels a bit different to me, but atm I think its the latency. Consider that to EU you will not get under 200ms where I used to like 1ms.
I think you are just used to the lag, something that will come with time I guess. Still will never like it as it can just make u sux more.
Would be great if we can get something local and have decent latency.
