Sounds like a game bug. Load earlier saves to see if at any point the sound starts working again, try figure out what specifically broke the sound on the weapon.

Yeah I did load up a previous save and the sound was working. I think it was one of the rate-of-fire upgrades on that gun because I don't remember using it again after that. After quite a lot of progress I used the gun again and only noticed then that the firing sound was missing .

Aagh least you figured it out. Hope they are aware of the bug and are going to try fix it.

Tooks just wait for the patches to be released, it's obviously a glitch. Have you also forwarded this problem to the dev team or to their support team??

I also got something like this, but it was because I saved at the wrong point in time and it corrupted my save some how. It was with all the sound in the game though so I realized it quickly, and just reloaded a auto save and it was good.

Maybe you accidentally upgraded it to have a silencer?

Yeah dude, maybe it was that hey. I found that the quicksaves somehow corrupts the game in weird ways and I had to reload to fix it. Maybe I must just start from way back Or wait for a patch.
