Hopefully the price will have a significant price drop but I wouldn't bet on it. I wonder if there will be any major teething problems.
I'm optimistic that it will reduce broadband prices or at least have some positive impact on the INTERNET, it could be speed, price or increased cappage.
It's finally possible to see the effects of SEACOM. First ISP has lowered its prices: http://mybroadband.co.za/news/ADSL/8900.html
I do not think there will be any drastic changes so early. Some companies will try and do something to make some sales, but not everyone will follow, especially the big guys. There will be a lot of touchy-feely stuff happening methinks...
I think there will be some bigger moves and think pricing will get better later in the year.
I expect some real changes next year though.
