PC cleaning techniques - dos and don'ts

Gaming PCs are often full of fans, which means soon they will be full of dust and in need of a good cleaning

    1. Keep it of the ground, put it on a table or something.

    2. Blow it with some air.

    3. Use a normal paint brush works a charm.

Also having a case with some good dust filters, that can be removed and cleaned easily is worth the extra few bucks.

Google "dirty PC" and click "images". :P

Brushes in general produce static. Paint brushes usually use natural hair which can produce quite a bit of static. I'd avoid using any brush with long bristles.

I disagree with the leaf blower recommendation. I'd like to know someone that damaged their pc using a leaf blower? Leaf blowers are cheaper than compressed air cans nowadays and have adjustable settings so you don't have to blow the shit out of your pc. Just remember to block the fans from rotating as this too can build up a charge and bust your fan or worse, blow your mobo.

They didn't say anything about the best way to get the dead geckos and other bugs out... I was sure that would be a high priority.
