Bad news for people with RROD consoles
maestro will be receiving a huge boost in repairs in the meantime
I Just phoned PowerCare, the company that is handling the replacement of my console which has RROD. The lady on the phone assured me that the liquidation of MiDigital will not effect me receiving my replacement console. They are awaiting stock to be released from customs and it might be taking a little longer due to the liquidation. Lets hope she wasn't bsing me. But Tinman said in his article that emplyees had been sent home, so if it was the same company nodbody would have answered the phone.
This is really [email protected] news for Xbox owners in SA.
PowerCare operates separately from MI. MI used to handle the repairs themselves but outsourced them to PowerCare.
It soudns like PowerCare is still operating for now, but Im not sure how long this will last.
Microsoft have yet to get back to me on this.
As long as PowerCare lasts long enough to get me my console back ill be happy. Look forward to further posts on this subject from you Tinman, as i am starting to worry about whether or not i am going to get my new Xbox.

Apparently the PS3 owners are in a similar boat ...... they also have shoddy agents here. No matter what console we have, it seems we can't win 100% huh.
