I figure a bit of a recommendation I can make for all the guys using WinRAR - try using 7zip. Does the same thing, and it's freeware.

Not that I'm implying anything, mind you

    Yeah ...

    Yeah ...
Dont think my Winrar has ever expired even though it says 40 days left and had it for few years according to the last time I formatted this laptop. So don't see a point in changing to 7zip atm.

I've tried 7zip, and while it does the job well enough, I can't stand the GUI. With WinRAR it's r-click, unrar, done.

7z is even easier. Right click and unzip.

I can also vouch for 7zip , really easy to use.
Id also like to submit my faviorate download manager " igetter "
its free , it can scedule downloads , it can also comply to a speed limit.
On iburst I have uncapped from 00:00 to 08:00 and igetter helps me get my stuff without going over my cap.
grab it for free from http://www.igetter.net/

iGetter is a full featured download manager and accelerator. With iGetter you can get the most out of your Internet connection (dial-up, wireless, cable, DSL, T1 etc.).

iGetter can greatly improve the speed of your downloads using segmented (accelerated) downloading. In addition it allows auto resume on broken downloads, queue filtering by various criteria, scheduling downloads for low traffic periods, auto redial on broken connection, auto hang-up and shut down on completion, and much more.

Lol some people always try and pretend their program they use is way better than one we use. I get told that my antivirus sucks yet it has protected me from hackers and viruses.

Never said it was better I did point out that it was freeware. I used WinRAR as well - but the little box popping up telling me how many days I had left/was past trial date annoyed me. So I moved on, and I'm happy with what I have now.

I was replying to his quote about CZC not you

I understand your pro's and cons for the programs. So I am going to test 7zip again. I think I had it years ago on my old pc.

Hehehe I was just pointing out that his motivation was equal to mine. I'll admit, I don't think WinRAR is better than 7zip, I simply prefer the former's GUI and ease-of-use over the latter's (very slight) clunky feel. All that is a feel and preference thing, so there's no reason for me to try and convert someone on 7zip to WinRAR. If they were using WinAce, however....
