I love being Captain Obvious here but the people saying PC Gaming is dead were spewing the gall via a PC.
Thats right , dont tell me you were typing it from a ps3 / xbox , damn console kiddies.
I own both the ps3 and the xbox360 , and i do most my gaming on the pc.
NO control in a shooter will ever come close to the accuracy of a keyboard and mouse.
So unless they make better input devices the console kiddies should go to sleep.
Ive played Heavy Rain and am FRUSTRATED by the console control system ,
in cut scenes you need to press the right button on the right second or your character dies and you need to replay the chapter.
Also console kiddies seem to forget that their consoles are slim line pcs , running motherboard with hard drives and graphic cards .
So to everyone saying pc gaming is dead , go look at how many games are on steam of the PC ,
and not forgetting that unlike console games , you can find a way to play every single pc game ever created.
thats ALOT of gaming.
Seeing i have both consoles these kiddies play , I can say this knowing fully well what im talking about.
The only challenge for gaming programmers when coding for PC is to code with compatibility in mind,
where with the console , you only have a limited set of hardware you need to code for.
PC Gaming is not dead , and with the ever growing base of games out there , no console will ever surpass the PC's range of games it can play.
In the next 5 years the next xbox / play station will come out , older games will stop working on them like it has with the normal xbox and ps2/ps1 , and guess what ? ALL MY OLD STUFF WILL STILL PLAY EVEN IF I UPGRADE MY PC !
(Yes I might need to emulate some stuff , heck I can even emulate old arcade titles on the pc)
So console kiddies , youre a bunch of noobs , stfu and go to sleep.
*rant over*
