If you have a PAL PS3 then NTSC PS1 games won't work on it only PAL PS1 games.

    Default But it is?

Huu but a PS3 is PSone compatibly as is? Or am I lost here. What would be real cool is if one could copy the disk to the PS3 HD and play it from there, that would kick butt.

PSone compatibility was never an issue, heck you can even download FF7 from the PSN store right now.
Ye! I was gonna say that. Most PSOne games wil be available for download in the future.

While I feel that the PS3 dropping backwars compatibilty was a bad move, I'm not sure how much it will help now. Not sure if it would cause PS2 users to upgrade.

I think Sony may be looking to offering downloadable PS2 games though.

The collector's edition of God of War 3 might include the first two games read this somewhere a while ago.

Man, now THIS is a good reason for me to finally get a PS3 after putting it off for so long!

Got soooo many PS2 titles. At least now I can easily play them off one machine. When I read a long time back Sony was dropping the backwards compatibility I was a very sad panda...

Unhappy Better PS1 first then PS2 on PSN

They should try getting there game together first and offer a better PS1 collection first, then look at doing a PS2 collection. Another thing is PS2 games are much bigger than PS1 to DL.
