Default Battlefield 3 is Sub HD on PS3 & Xbox 360

So there you have it folks, Battlefield 3 on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will run at a native resolution of 1280 x 704. While not a huge step down from the desired 1280 x 720 HD resolution, it’s still a little odd to know that one of the most graphically hyped games of all time isn’t actually “HD”. Good thing the subtle loss in resolution will help with memory usage, keeping gameplay solid. So what are everyone’s thoughts on this?

This has been the case for many AAA console titles for the past few years.

Its good enough of me. I can't afford to spend $$$ on a fancy PC. I think its a fair compromise.

    ^This.
If you really go look at it with any amount of fervor, you will find that 99.9% of the big-name titles released in the last significant period of time (especially those with any amount of respectable graphics), all run sub-HD.

Nothing strange or new here. Nothing to comment. Nothing to get all worked up over. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Zero.

Halo 3 I think was something like 1200x600 if my faulty memory serves me right.
