And the people trolling the comments section are definitely people who frequent the forums, because they take opinions we post on the forums and twist them around to troll. Just take a look at yesterday, I'm pretty sure the abusive comment involving my sexual orientation wasn't just a lucky guess. The fact that it's probably forum members make it all the much worse.
Edit: Also, the troll using my name had actually stopped doing so for a long while, up until last week when we spoke about it in the Exclusives Week 14 thread, then suddenly he started up again in full earnest. That's just a little more proof that it's either someone who browses these forums on regular basis or is a member here.
What they don't understand (or maybe it's exactly because they understand it) is that some of us have been using our nicks around the online scene in SA for quite a while. We've made a lot of friends and met a lot of those people irl. Them trolling with those nicks, then having people know us come here and see that, it sucks. They probably already know this, and that's probably the main reason why they do it, but it really just sucks.
At some point you've got to look at yourself and ask why you're doing something so dickish for such a long time. Any joke that might have been had with it should have worn off long ago. Doesn't there come a point where if you're the only one laughing about it you realise how sad the entire crusade has become? Then again, it's my assumption that usually people who do stuff like this are social outcasts themselves, so that might not even matter.
But on to the bigger issue. MyGaming is an excellent news site. It's become my primary site for gaming related news over the last few months. I come here before visiting some place else for news. What's even more, they have regular competitions for members, always free of charge. To top it all off, you're under no obligation to be here, you don't pay a cent for the content of the site. With all that in mind, you're still such an asshole that you feel the need to make life hard for the writers who work hard to bring you all this? If that's your mentality, I just hope that whichever career you go into (because I refuse to believe anyone old enough to be working for themselves would participate in such lame shit, this is definitely the work of bored schoolboys or at worst, university/college students who don't have much friends), you have to deal with people as ignorant as yourself on a daily basis, so you can see what a dick you really are.
