The issue here is that some clot unpacked another's work - with the hellbent intention of being offended or otherwise - and the whole lot of you jump on chairs as if this developer just declared a holy war on vagina...
This would be a whole different issue and I would possibly wholeheartedly agree with you, IF that coded name ended up in the open as the ability's actual name. But it did not. Digging for shit just for the sake of flinging it, is utterly backwards.

Wheunis not once have you ever indicated that what was put in the code was inappropriate, you keep banging on about the code. The code is a delivery mechanism for someone's prejudice. The indication that you have no problem with prejudice is itself a worry. No one is denying prejudice exists. So if standing up against prejudice is stupid as you say, then I'll happily wear the class dunce hat, rather than live in your denialist world

It's not about being prejudice, it's about being politically correct. We have freedom of speech so we can say anything we want (To an extent), but does that mean we should go about referring to woman as bitches or feminist whores? No! We have to take into account how the opposite sex feels about being stereotyped and insulted like this.

I will agree that we will never be rid of our prejudices, unfortunately. But that does that mean we should just go out and talk to a person in anyway we see fit (Being racist, sexist, insulting etc...)? No, we don't! We as human beings should try and accommodate each other, regardless of prejudices... Only that way can we move forward and live in some form of equality.

Regardless of some guy digging through another's code, this coder was still being insensitive. I myself like to mod a few games and I do sometimes use other people's work as a reference so that might be the same case here... You really have to be stupid to think someone went in with the sole purpose of finding something to be offended about ...
