    R1600 pm for a 64 player server?

    Gameservers are offering about R600 pm for a 64 player server......

    That's because bandwidth is much, much cheaper overseas.

    See ur wrong there, as gameservers/mweb offer local 64 player servers for R700 per month

    Dam, that is a hefty some per month for 64 player.

    I wonder why it has suddenly jumped so high? Is it better hardware needed to host the servers?

    I thought I would add a comment to this. Regarding server pricing, whilst the nature of our contract with EA does not allow me to discuss our contract, there are a number of components that need to be taken into considering. i.e. Hosting, Bandwidth & additional hardware requirements to run BF3 servers. Keep in mind bandwidth in SA is more expensive than the US & Europe.

    If you arent aware this is the bandwidth per player
    Bandwidth: 128Kbps/player downstream, 64Kbps/player upstream

    The service is a premium service and offers clans wanting to rent their own dedicated servers a better gaming experiance than the public servers.

    I guess ultimately its the actual gaming experiance that players are willing to pay for as apposed to having to play on public servers.

    You are welcome to checkout any of our public servers and play on them to get a feel of what our service offers.
