There's no reason for blizzard to ever make it free-to-play, it just doesnt make sense business wise. Its like expecting Telkom to start making internet free after they got a return on their investment over the last few years

Why would Blizzard want to put a halt to its Money Train
As long as there are people willing to pay the subscription fees and buy the expansions Blizzard will charge for the game
I mean look at me. I am still paying monthly subscription fees for 3 WOW accounts and I haven't played since January lol
One could argue after 5 years Blizzard has made enough money off Wow and as a gift to its loyal fans it make sit free to play.... But we all know that will never happen, not as long as the numbers keep up.

Anyone ever thought what their running costs must be like? Salaries for the dev team must be peanuts compared to the amount they dish out for bandwidth and the upkeep on their server farms.
There are always private servers you can play on for free ...lol
