I think most of us expected that, especially considering the way the first one ended and how abrupt the ending was at that too.

Shadowfox's response to me in my failed attempts to annoy himOriginally Posted by ShadowFox
I stopped giving a damn at "2013".
I mean really... do we NEED to know about games being developed 2 years in advance?!
I have never tried to Homefront but gave Crysis 2's multiplayer component a go for quite a while. I was impressed with it because Crytek took a bold step and tried something very different without a guaranteed recipe for success. I enjoyed it but none of my friends in SA also got the game so I stopped playing it eventually.
I reckon they should redo the game, better gameplay, and better atmosphere
There's a lot of games that people wait years for. We knew about D3 like 3-4 years ago already? For example. There's a lot of games that get announced and only gets released years later.
As for Homefront 2- good to know it's developed. And by Crytek. So we know there will be something good in 2 years. :P
Its getting a bit ludicrous though, man.
I just dont understand the point of announcing something like this, at all.
They have nothing to show. Nothing to report. Just... nothing.
I mean it's another thing when you announce a game 1 year or so from possible beta/release - to say "Hey! Look at this! Check these kwai pics and vids! You might play this soon!"
These 2 years+ crap is literally the opposite. "Uhm, yeah, so... we're totally gonna do X and Y. And dudes A and B will be doing it. And uh, we have nothing else to show or say, except some PR spin..."
Besides, at this point its safe to assume that every single game in existence is going to be sequeled as soon as possible, to feed the whores that are the wallets of corporate fatcats...
