    Default One for the ladies

    Good afternoon ladies (and gentlemen)
Seeing my wife to be doesnt really like pc games ,
im trying to turn her (like a vampire)
I love playing pc games from time to time and right now I leave my pc switched off when shes at my place.
She only ever played The Sims and she doesnt really enjoy any other games ..
(well not ones I showed her , and that ranges from shooting games to simulators to rpg)
(and no , not that kind of role playing guys , be nice)

Can any of the ladies out here in mygaming land tell me which games you enjoy ?

I might try to tempt her with some suggestions and see if I cant find something we both enjoy playing.

Failing that the pc will stay switched off.
I dont want it to ever look like the pc gets more attention that she does.
Ive seen many married couples , where the man sits at the pc and the wife can only sit and watch tv as the husband is too busy playing on his pc.

That is not how I roll.

So either I find something we both like or the pc will only be powered on while shes not here.

Let me know what you ladies play ?
And for the guys (and some ladies too ? O.o) - let me know what your girlfriends play

Dude, I don't think gaming is for everyone. Some people just don't see it the same way as we do. Just like I don't really rave about new movies and series', they just can't get into games. Good luck though with your efforts

Ya, my wife gets all excited when there's a new Vampire Diaries / Masterchef / Survivor or whatever to watch, then I go play my games

Although maybe have a look at what some of the ladies said they're into in this thread

For some reason girls go bat crazy over burn out paradise...

You will find the real odd one out that likes stuff like starcraft and wow(dont worry im not calling you girls odd)

But all in all, i would suggest seeing what type of game she will like first, basically play a few co-op games like magicka or something like that with her. Something witty funny and relaxing (casual games, nothing that is too extreme that will get flamed by people online like COD or dota).

I mean hell even my sister loves diablo but also relaxing Popcap games (Peggle, PvZ, Zuma etc)

    Good luck mate

kerby I completely feel you dude!!!!, I never touch my PC unless it's to watch a movie with my mrs other than that I don't play games, because I don't want her feeling bored outta her bracket, but by the same token I would like her to show some interest in what I love as much as I do for her and her shopping and dancing etc...

As Tooks said, gaming isnt for everyone unfortunately. As a female gamer for me its hard to say since I really dont like games such as the Sims :P

I play something of everything from FPS, RPG to MMO's. Its hard to find something both can play if she isnt into gaming at all unfortunately.

Kerby, as an alternative ... as matt suggested, a lot of girls enjoy watching new series etc.

So why not start off by playing more story-driven games where she can watch. My SO used to be completely fine with watching me play Fable 1/2/3 and even titles like the Force Unleashed II (she LOVES burnout paradise too ). Even my buddy's fiance enjoyed watching him play Mass Effect.

So give that a try - and get her to play bits while you go make coffee etc. That way it's an activity both of you can enjoy.

NOTE: This obviously works better on console where you sit next to each other and don't block the screen.
