Heh something sinister happened to me, when I was 16. I wasn't driving a bike, I was helping out my dad on the farm and had to take a couple of tons of wheat to the local granary.

    In this:

So I get on the road, now I'm pulling 3 15 ton trailers behind me and driving half on the road and half off, so people have enough space to pass me and so I also stay out of the way of most people. I've done this loads of times before, and it's a 20km drive there.
I pick up speed slowly and as usual try to entertain myself by guessing which car would pass me next. After a couple of minutes this BMW catches up to me as I'm about to cross a bridge. This dude has no patience at all and tries to overtake me but there's not enough space. So he pushes in front of the tractor when there was just enough space for the bmw's nose to get in front of me. I'm hauling a massive load behind me, this tractor doesn't stop very fast and well... let's just say he never drove his bmw again. It's bonnet got flattened and I could see the fear in his eyes as it was happening. I couldn't stop laughing.

There was also nothing he could do about it as we inform the local traffic cops when I haul something to the granary so they had a checkpoint on the other side of the bridge. He was screaming loudly at me, I stopped to check if he was hurt. Saw he was fine, and left. The police handled the rest. Apparently he was in a rush because his wife wanted something from the shop.

I wish I had a cellphone back then.
Please keep all extremities tucked in...

All of this is an amazing read! Ever since I started driving I've noticed what complete tossers bmw drivers are. I thought it was just a coincidence, now it seems fact! Even the guys who were the biggest chops at school are now bmw owners. Its obviously BMW's target market, imagine what an ultimate nob the BMW CEO must be!hahaha

If you are a good oke and bought a beemer by mistake, sell it, buy a tazz and a kak load of games rather.

    Whahaha...can't fault that logic.

But yeah - it's a good thing Gymmer sold his beamer. Otherwise we'd be forced to skull-pavement-slam him.

I suspect this is very much an SA thing. I think its because its the car you buy ones you are semi-successful in the corporate ladder game.

The heavy hitters in the German car companies are generally pretty level headed & chilled....at least the ones that come to SA. Same can't be said for their kids....lets just say they're the only people I know who intentionally run past a 60kmh speed camera at 120.

Out of all the drivers on the road, I've found BMW drivers to be the worst. They have no regard for other drivers and do just as they please, whether it's against the law or not, and just try pointing it out to them and they go red with rage because 'how dare a non-bmw driver oppose me?!'

Just the other day I was at a four-way stop-street, and a lady in a BMW arrived stopped on her side just before me. Thinking she was going to go first, I waited, but then she motioned for me to go first. I was so excited to come across a friendly BMW driver that I smiled and waved so much that I think I freaked her out.

Not all BMW drivers are dicks, but 90% of dicks drive BMWs.

Another menace I find here on the roads of Cape Town are Toyota Fortuner drivers. Even if you're driving 120 they'll come hurtling down at you in their wannabee 4x4s, and expect you to give way to them immediately, and if you don't, they get pissed off.

Come to think of it, I had a BMW driver right up my ass the other day. I was entering the highway via an onramp and already going 120; clearly not fast enough for this BMW douche, who was probably no more than 2m away from my rear.

Well I always make room if I can for any biker that either coming up in my line or opposite, it really takes nothing from you if you do that. Same with looking out for a biker and properly indicating. Only other type of fool I've encounter is those that all of a sudden decides now is the time for a U-turn without looking or indication...

One thing that sometimes bothers me about is that bikers like flashing their brights at you. Earlier today, I was riding out of Stellenbosch, and a biker came from behind, but I couldn't make way for him immediately because there was a slow car in the yellow lane, which I assume the biker did not see due to the fact that he was driving almost on the white line in the middle of the road. He then proceeded to flash his brights at me. Hey asshole, just because it's day doesn't mean those lights don't still hurt my eyes. "/

Or people who brake, then indicate they intend to turn, or start changing lanes, then indicate. Many people seem to have no grasp on the purpose of having indicators.
