I heard a rumour that Sony's trying to get a patent which will lock a specific game to a specific console (PS3 or PS4 when it's released). This means that once you buy the game (NEW), and you play it for the first time, that game is now linked to your PlayStation. You cannot take the disk to a buddy's house and play it on his PalyStation. This will put an end to renting PlayStation titles at your local video store. Apparently, you will be able to sell it to someone, but they will then have to pay Sony a license fee, before they can activate that game for their PlayStation. (Just a rumour...)
