First Gears of War 3 DLC is for the Horde

While I like the fact that they are adding in maps to the multiplayer I can't help but feel that this is just too quick to go and spend more money on the game. It was just released.. Obviously these maps were ready for launch but they decided to hold them back in order to cash in just after release.

I tend to agree with you on this. I never really buy "booster pack" DLC, purely because its content (like new weapons, maps and characters) feels really light for the price.

It's like buying a cake, and getting the icing afterwards as an "added extra" I have to pay more for.

Luckily though, Gears 3, as it is, holds up perfectly well with the content it came with; so I'm not feeling like I'm missing out on too much at this point. I am excited to see what else is coming, though.

Jeez, I just bought the damn game dammit! Hahaha, I'll have had it barely over a month and the DLC will be released. Thats ridiculous.
Its a great game and all...but I'm so not bored of it yet to spend any more bucks on DLC. I dont think I'll buy it.

Rather wait until the next DLC update is available, and you can nab this one at a potentially discounted price.

I don't know hey, they released a Seasons Pass for 2400 points when Gears released which is supposed to include all the DLC so this will probably not be discounted. Going to sound weird but at least it's only 800 points, anyone remember the one for Gears 2 which was 1200 points?
