Think im gonna hold out till the new year, Keen for the 2011 depending on the price tag i will decide on staying the the 1155 or going for the 2011.

That might stretch your budget, and a legit copy of Windows as well.

    But here we go :

    Motherboard : ECS Elite P67H2-A3 @ R1050
    CPU : Core i3 2100 @ R1250
    RAM : 4GB matched kit (2 x 2GB) Kingston Hyper X Blu @ R450
    HDD : Seagate Barracuda 500GB @ R475
    VPX : Gigabyte GTX 550Ti @ R1599
    PSU : Huntkey 550w PSU @ R545
    DVD-RW : LG 22x DVD-RW (Can't remember the model code ) @ R239
    Monitor : LG E2340T 23" LED Monitor @ R1599

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit DSP @ R1150

    Comes down to R8375

With a full system discount, we'd do the system as above @ R8199

Prices are off the retail place I work at price list. However I can't remember exactly what the CPU and monitors' prices are. That does look right though.

I know it's over your budget, however you could swap out the CPU for a G620 CPU for the time being, and upgrade the CPU later. If that is the case, system price with discount etc would be R7725

I left the case and keyboard/mouse out because that all depends on you, what sort of case and keyboard/mouse you looking for.
That spec is a bit low for my liking, i may dig deeper into the pockets and stretch the budget between 10 - 15k and may possibly split the build over a couple of months as to not damge the bank too severely

Considering previous generation 1366 socket i7 prices, you are likely to see similar prices well in excess of 5k for 2011 cpus
"multiplatform"... the word that ruins games for PC gamers.

Wiki got some prices in $'s...so that is really just a ballpark figure...cause in SA we tend to get ripped big-time...just to give you guys an idea...

I bought a Gigabyte GTX590 off the shelve in Malaysia for R3400... :/

The only things I'd keep out of your revised setup would be the graphic card, hard drive and keyboard.

I'll work out something better for you tomorrow while at work.

The monitor you selected is also EOL. Unless some shop have it in their stock already, you will struggle to get hold of it.

Whats wrong with the graphics card, keyboard & HDD?? I got a quote for similar spec with the i7 for just under 10k so will continue hunting for the best spec for the best price
