    Default Reputation system explained

Due to a lack of clarity and abuse issues regarding the reputation system, I have revised how it works.

Here are the new mechanics of the reputation system.

Everyone has +1 / -1 rep giving power; from new members to senior. There will be no incremental reputation giving perks awarded for being a long time member, having a high reputation, etc.

Reputation votes are no longer anonymous to cut out abuse. Comments left under reputation are subject to the standard MyGaming forum rules.

This is the most fair system IMO; everyone is treated equally, it will be difficult/time consuming to abuse the system, and reputation will be a closer reflection on one's participation in the MyGaming community.

Try not to take it too seriously, it's just a fun feature that really means nothing in the grand scheme of things. If problems crop up related to the reputation system, such as some members being mistreated due to their low/high reputation, I'll simply turn it off.

Please do not send me PM/e-mail/an online petition regarding these settings.

As always, abuse will be handled swiftly by the mods and admin. If you have a problem, send one of us a PM. We can see everything that has transpired and there is no covering your tracks >:]

At a later stage (when I have some spare time) I think I'd like to revise the messages that pop up regarding user levels to reflect the slower progress of accumulating reputation. An open forum competition to suggest user ranks sounds like fun. I'll keep you posted on that.

Please direct all feedback to the active thread discussing the reputation system.

    Have fun!
