Thread: Using eBucks at Takealot

    Lightbulb Using eBucks at Takealot

I suppose everybody knows Takealot / Take2 by now... Great service, good prices, wide variety... Those of you banking with FNB probably already know how great eBucks is (contacting eBucks.com for any reason though, not so much... but if you don't have issues, it works great).

Anyway, I've been talking to Takealot and asked them about implementing ebucks as payment method... We do have Kalahari at the moment and they are great, but they don't always have what you're looking for (e.g. hardware, out of stock items, etc) plus 2 choices are usually better than 1.

Apparently they've enquired about it already but are yet to receive a response from ebucks.com. They did say that I should perhaps contact them and maybe if their customers start asking for it, they'll start responding. Well, I'm gonna send them an email, but I'm a customer (as in 1) and they did say in their email "if their customers" (as in multiple) which brings me here.
If anybody (who is earning / using ebucks) wants to join me, just send an email over to [email protected] to enquire on the progress of getting takealot on their system (obviously not spamming or anything)... if you do send them an email, just reply to this post and if we have like 20 emails sent, I think that should draw enough attention.

No guts, no glory, no brain, same story.

Hopefully if they receive enough emails and get irritated enough, perhaps they'll do something.

Why would eBucks.com not want to partner with Takealot? Do you think Kalahari has an exclusivity agreement or something?

AFAIK, partnering with eBucks should not be that difficult. We helped a client get eBucks set up for his website(the technical bit) and they are smaller than takealot. I suppose it also has to do with who your business account is with (ie. if Takealot is with ABSA, FNB (or ABSA) might not be so keen on the use of eBucks).

eBucks is associated with FNB :-/ i think you mean standard bank ...

take2/takealot i think has accounts for all the other banks besides FNB, thats probably why they didnt implement eBucks yet :-/

No, I do mean FNB... That's why I said if Takealot has accounts at other banks, then FNB would say "No, open an account with us first". Hope this makes sense

Makes sense since Ebucks only partner with FNB customers from what I read on their website
