I think this was because I complained about not being able to download the BF3 beta as I should have.

Can't use the code on pre-orders though, so I'm waiting for BF3 to be released and then I'll redeem it.

The "*" leads to a disclaimer that says the code has to be redeemed before the 31st of December and it has to be from the Origin SA store. No catch :>.

Got an error a lot of people were getting - the download would reach 100% and keep downloading, so at the end of the day I had downloaded 5.2GB of the necessary 3.9GB, and it kept going. Started up a thread on Origin with some screenshots, and now this

Funny you mentioned this, I just received the same email. I had a problem with the downloading of BF3 too. One thing, the code doesn't seem to be valid.

Well apparently you can't use it on pre-orders. Other people have used the code successfully on other games like Alice: Madness Returns.

Oh cool, ok I just went to the store, checked out with Mass Effect 2, and entered that code as the promotion code at the bottom. It worked, didn't pay anything for Mass Effect 2.

Weren't they going to hand out free codes to people anyway? I believe I read something along those lines a while back.

From the sounds of it, it's because of the stuff-up with the BF3 codes.

Just browsing there selection and OMW there is so few title to pick from.

Got dragon age, deadspace, the saboteur, bc2, Mirrors Edge,ME1+2 and spore.

So the only ones left is alice and bulletstorm.
