Well, the figures make sense with what's happening in the economy...

People in the US are still losing jobs with unemployment at an alltime high.
What the mind can conceive, it can achieve.

Nothing really unexpected to be honest. I can imagine games being at the back of many peoples' minds at this point in time.

TM.... guys.... Think about it we're in a recession of course this is going to happen considering the job losses as what lilDeath said... but you know what these gaming companies are panicking for literally nothing... yeh ok so they can panick becoz they are losing income due to these times but hey whats the bet next years financial quarter they are going to see big improvements to their pockets.... all the economy needs is to have a rest financially then just get a bit of a jump start thats all nothing to really stress about

The recession probably has a hand in it. I think it has a lot to do with them delaying all the really good, hyped and anticipated games to late 09 or sometime '10. Casual gamers will probably be the first to scale back spending on gaming but the hardcore would still be queuing up for Bioshock2 and Starcraft2 if they had to sell a kidney to afford it.
