There might have been a Time when this would have made me happy but ever since I started using steam. Downloading pirated games just dont seem to do it for me anymore. Steam is Cheap enough, and mostly hassle free.

Ill wait for teh Legit BF3 version to launch before I play the SP, Co-OP and offcourse MP..

Although it hurts the industry these AAA developers still rake in the money. Wasn't Black Ops or MW2 one of the most pirated games of 2010/11? and yet it was flying off the shelves faster than they could pack them.

Pirates sometimes help sales... If most people are unsure about a game they get the pirated version before the buy the orignal to see if the game is worth the cash layout. I will admit to doing that a when i was younger... But now i just wait for reviews or get the demo which most of the time helps the decision making process oh and the discussions on the game from other gamers.

I agree with you. Most of the people that I started Lan'ing with back in high school got into gaming by mean's of piracy. As young gamers you don't always have the cash to buy the latest games, at least for me it was the case back then. Now days I have a respect for the development process and the developers behind these games and should a game wet my appetite I'll have no problems giving them my money.

You try going to the movies for the evening and you spend close to 1/4 of a games retail price on the ticket, popcorn, soda etc. All for 2 hours of entertainment. Games are worth their money, provide hours of entertainment, and you are engaging your brain instead of mindlessly watching the TV screen like a robot.

off topic here: It really get's to me when people say "how can you sit at your computer all evening playing games".. and my reply is always "how different is it from you sitting in front of your TV in the evenings, at least my brain is active" :P

Well I can't really see that EA will take a drop on sales because of this. People who will buy or at least want to play this will do it mainly for MP so people who going to pirate will do it only for the short SP and then they will have to buy it to play the MP if they like it. So in any case it is kind of a win-win for EA.
