Besides I do find that when I calm down an hour before sleep without doing anything that's exciting or learning (excluding sex of course lol) I fall asleep a lot faster. Otherwise improvise with "non mind" meditation

I've also used nervous system calmers, but that was recommended by health specialist...

yeah sleeping pills are no good. The thing is you get so use to having them that you actually will never be able to sleep again on your own properly. Not only that say for example one doesnt work then you start taking two then three per night, then you find when you do fall asleep you cant ever get up again so not worth it.
Rather watch some telle or listen to some music.Much more healthy.I find that if you drink a cup of warm milk with some sugar in it works like a charm

My mom used to give me half a valium when I was in High School (matric end exams). I stress a LOT, so much so that I've been diagnosed with full-blown IBS at age 29 and cannot sleep when I'm stressing over something. Anyways, I realised back then already that sleeping pills are FLIPPEN bad for you. Your body's natural mechanisms for putting you to sleep stops working and you become dependant on sleeping pills EVERY NIGHT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. Needless to say, I only used sleeping pills twice in my life.

If you need something to take the edge off, go to Dischem and buy some Tranquin. It's all vitamin based and 100% natural and NON-ADDICTIVE.

If you take that and get some exercise (yeah, you read that right) you'll be ready for bed in no time. I've found that my one major problem with not being able to sleep sometimes is that I have WAY too much energy left in me, come 23:00 in the evenings. The solution is to go to the gym and get some of the healthy workouts going.

But case in point: Sleeping pills are 100% bad for you. You'll stuff yourself up in no time. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Not weird at all. Sprite Zero doesn't have any sugar (aside from artificial sweetener, I think) or caffeine. Coke, on the other hand... Anyway, the combination of caffeine and sugar will def. keep you awake.

I must admit, I've also really been struggling to sleep the past few weeks. Highly stressful time at the office plus personal shit means I only get 5-6 hours a night. If that sounds like a lot, well, it isn't really. I normally can't survive and function on anything less than 8, unless I have to work all out for a few days. And after those fews days, I completely crash and sleep solid for a day or two.

Turns out, the solution was to remove some of the stress from the work side, and eat better (I also eat badly when I'm stressed and trying to finish work).
The difference between pizza and your opinion is that I asked for pizza.
