Default Diablo 3 emulation already well under way.

Seems that as predicted, it's only a matter of time before we have a "lan patch" for d3. Current status of the Mooege project seems that one are able to walk around, might not be long before a more complete version appears on the internet.

    look at your own peril

Wonder what Blizz is going to do to stop this seeing how they've dealt with private servers.

The only way I see myself buying Diablo 3 is once one of these cracked versions release. I don't pirate any more, but I think it's justified if I already own an original copy.

Out of pure developer boredom I'm going to play around with the "d3 c# sandbox". Not too sure I'm yet in the mood for the required setup, lazyness has struck seeing what needs to be done. I want my one-click-setup

    :edit
lol latency 0ms. I can't see why people bemoaned over the colouring of the game it looks quite well enough to me.

I haven't seen any feedback from the d3 beta players lately though.. how is the lag on bnet anyways?

Don't see the big deal with LAN mode these days, even at LANs there's always internet :P people gotta facebook n stuff!

The emulator started the week the beta started already, I kind of thought the posts about it would've hit here much earlier. It'll be interesting to see how well it works, if you can have a set of offline characters, or if you can only play with online characters and just not save progress.. Definitely something to keep an eye on, although, with all that said, I'll be rocking it online

I'll rather wait for the finished product.

You would have to be slightly retarded to pirate Diablo 3.

Clearly the emulation is no match for the real deal, but no harm in playing around with the "sandbox". It's just quite funny to see how quickly an emulation is out of the woodwork, even if it's just run around at the moment VS Hellgate which never had its IP emulated.

Obviously blizz is a lot more popular, their their decision to exclude lan or offline mode to lan-play has played into this. I'd wonder how long it would be before this emulation is on par or close to the real thing, I know that some who ply holy here and I will not use it, will be the first to use it at home/lan/friend to play co-op; it's the nature of the beast.

We might very well see a RSA action rpg under the guise of being totally new, but built on existing ip

    Why would you say that?

How has Blizzard treated private servers? I seem to remember that they were fine with the WoW private servers before.
