Borderlands gets release date

At E3, 2K Games announced that Gearbox's Borderlands will be released this October, but it wasn't until today that we had an exact release date. 2K Games is expected to officially announce tomorrow that Borderlands will be released on October 20th in North America, with the game launching in Europe three days later, on October 23, 2009.

Good news for those looking forward to this long overdue titles, bad news for those who have a already crowded Oct, Nov & December.

For those who don't know what Borderlands is about here is a quick synopsis.

Borderlands combines the best in first-person action with player customization and vehicular combat to deliver an exciting Role-Playing Shooter experience. The game allows for multiple players to share the same game experience simultaneously online in co-op gameplay.

Seems this and Uncharted 2 coming out at the same time in Europe.

Yeah this is bad for Borderlands as im sure it will lose alot of PS3 sales in favor of Uncharted 2 not to mention that MW2 is released not even a month later.

True, thats why Bioshock 2 is being moved to 2010 and why Wolfenstein will fail.
Looks like ill only be being a few titles in the next 4 months as it looks like alot of mediocre games coming out also. Since its restart Borderlands has grabbed my attention but with Dragon Age having stealthily sneaked up on me with out as much as a blip on my radar i will have to wait and see.
